My name is Alexander Davis and I am a self taught leatherworker who specializes in Celtic and Norse art styles. By using traditional leathercrafting techniques and quality materials, I aim to combine tradition, quality, and art to create one-of-a-kind products.
Based in the beautiful Lanark Highlands of Ontario Canada, Noble Mouse Leatherworks is a team effort made possible with the support of my life partner Annick and our cute sheltie Freya.
When I first launched into leather crafting, I was actually attempting to make a set of Roman Legionary Armor. I’ve always been interested in history, but without any previous knowledge about leatherworking, I had no idea where to start. All I knew was that I wanted to do it. And so I jumped right in.
My first foray into leatherworking opened up a whole new world to me. I could hardly believe the potential that this hobby held. I knew that I had stumbled upon something exciting. I wanted to learn more, try new things, and turn this craft into something meaningful.
Noble Mouse Leatherworks began as a hobby, but its destiny is so much more. I have always been a storyteller and artist, and now strive to create the living stories of history carved into leather.
